Eye Mission of the Pacific Visits Vietnam

Eye doctors examining patients in Vietnam

Eye Mission of the Pacific returned to Vietnam in July, and in just a few days, we developed even stronger ties to the country and the talented global medical leaders who participated.

More than 300 surgeons, healthcare professionals and researchers from Vietnam and around the world attended the Imperial City Eye Meeting in Hue, Vietnam from July 20 to 23. The innovative event brought together discussions around the latest advances in ophthalmology, focusing on growing international collaboration and enhancing the quality of eye care services and resources for the public.

The seventh annual event gave different surgeons a chance to present their techniques and learning perspectives. Surgeons attended courses on different aspects of ophthalmology technology, which inspired in-depth conversations around improving the future of patient care.

Dr. Uday Devgan of Beverly Hills returned to Hue, Vietnam to present different ocular surgical techniques, share his expertise and best practices, and meet with other surgeons to discuss new outcomes and updates in vision and healthcare.

Eye Mission of the Pacific plans to come back in 2028 for the ninth annual meeting in Vietnam. Anyone interested in learning more about the conference or opportunities to join us and get involved in the nonprofit work can contact our organization to learn more.
